Acetylene cylinders
By combining the basic raw materials - water, lime, sand, glass fibre and other additives - our automated production process produces a high-quality calcium silicate porous material reinforced with glass fibre, which has excellent sorption and desorption properties. This material is able to meet high safety and environmental requirements. The porous material allows the absorption of acetylene even in the absence of solvent.
Even minor changes in the composition or production technology of this process can lead to significant changes in the material's properties. For this reason, our entire production process is fully automated. Every step is meticulously controlled and monitored, with each cylinder tracked through the production line by a database system that ensures strict adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards.
The porous material is certified by TÜV SÜD.
The high porosity of the crystalline structure of the porous material is clearly visible in the image with a magnification of 5,000.

Mixing
-
The process begins in the silica sand and lime mixing plant's hoppers. Automatic material dosing ensures the exact ratio of raw materials and high quality of the final product. The glass fibre is added in the specified ratio. To ensure the stability of the composition, we use mineral-free water from our own treatment plant.
Curing
-
The slurry is filled into bottles which are then transferred to modern curing ovens. Inside the ovens, the mass is dried and cured according to a precisely defined temperature curve. Precise temperature control is key to the quality of the sorptive porous material and therefore the operation of the ovens is fully automated.
Quality control
-
After the material has been cured and dried, the cylinder undergoes quality control to ensure compliance with the prescribed parameters.
Surface treatment
-
After thoroughly blasting the surface of the bottle, we electrostatically apply water-based or powder paint.
Filling with solvent
-
Bottles with porous material are filled with solvent. For UL1 mass with acetone and for UL2 mass with dimethylformamide (DMF).
